Letter from the President

I want to thank you for your interest in New Hope Bible College.

Our  college  was  founded  to  assist  those  who  want  to minister but whose careers or limited financial resources hinder them from attending a four-year school. New Hope Bible College offers  degrees in Biblical Studies to these individuals at an extremely minimal cost.  In our system, the student studies at home and can still retain employment.

Because our method of learning is “independent study”, we needed to find a way for the student to feel a constant touch from the school.  We  feel  we  accomplished  that  through our mentoring program. I will discuss this program more fully later on. In fact, our motto is “Distance Learning with a Personal Touch”.

Allow me a few moments to explain how our teaching method works:

  1. Upon enrollment, the student will receive the course of study, syllabus, and course objective.
  2. Exams will be sent, graded, returned and recorded.
  3. The instructor who teaches the class will be your primary mentor. The instructor will set up a convenient call or email system with you to answer your questions and check your progress.
  4. You will be provided with a list of textbooks you might want to purchase to enhance your studies and add to your personal library.

The classes offered represent hundreds of hours of prayer and preparation by anointed men and women of God. Our faculty has a combined total of nearly  150  years  in  active  local  church ministry. They bring the student not just excellent Biblical teaching skills, but years of “hands-on” ministry. Additionally, all of them were and some still are extremely successful in their professional careers. This combination brings a balance that contributes to their excellence.

In conclusion, I would like to leave you with a familiar passage from God’s Word. “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17 NIV)

If you feel our college is what you have been looking for, why not join us at New Hope Bible College. The faculty and I will do our best, by God’s grace, to make your educational experience a rewarding one. We hope to hear from you very soon.

May God bless you,

Rev. Samuel C. Fillon, Founder and President
